I am looking forward to receiving a copy of "A Plain Leaving (the Sisters of Lancaster County)" by Leslie Gould which is coming out today (October 3, 2017) on Amazon. This is different from the books that I normally like to read and I can't wait to tell you about it.  More to come...

Molly Bell and the Wishing Well

I would give this book 5 stars.   ✩✩✩✩✩

Young readers will enjoy this book as Molly is an 11 year old trying to overcome grief and also adjust to new people coming into her life.  Molly's wishes help her to navigate through her emotions and shape her journey to healing and love.  

But be careful of what you wish for.

Coming to the End of April

What a great month April has been.  I have won two books in the Goodreads (https://www.goodreads.com) give-aways and I am looking forward to getting them in the mail.

The first one is a middle school read -- The Unbreakable Code (Book Scavenger, #2) by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman and the second is a murder mystery -- The Shattered Tree (a Bess Crawford Mystery) by Charles Todd

Something New for April

Something new for me in the month of April is that I was able to receive an advanced reading copy of this book from netgalley.com.

My review of Longburrow – Podkin, One-Ear by Kieran Larwood  ---  I give it five stars

In the land of Endeby, Podkin, Paz and Pook, young rabbits of the Munbury Warren must journey to escape the dangerous iron-clad Gorm.  Scramshank, the leader of the Gorm, can no longer be known as a rabbit, but only as an evil twisted iron-clad creature bent on destruction. Podkin’s story is a journey to discover who is friend or foe, and of coming of age and facing your greatest fears.  Will young Podkin fulfill his destiny?

I especially enjoyed the overall action of the story because of the details and its memorable characters. However, these same exploits may be too intense for younger readers.  If you are a fan of Redwall, you will love Podkin One-Ear.

My Tea with this read is a cup of hot  Sweet Orange Spice loose tea.  It is a black tea with the sweet taste of mandarin oranges, cinnamon and clove buds from Tea Forte’.
